Vampirella

Vampirella is a comic book vampire heroine from the planet Drakulon created by Forrest J. Ackerman and fleshed-out by Archie Goodwin.

Vampirella

The extra-terrestrial heroine who is considered a vampire, since she needs blood to survive and had many of the typical vampiric powers, including increased strength and reflexes, shape-shifting into a bat, and a mesmeric stare. She is not prone to the group's traditional weaknesses viz. daylight, holy water, garlic or crosses. She cannot, most importantly, transform others into vampires. She does not attack people to drink their blood, although she does it occasionally when she is attacked. She is almost always scantily clad (usually in trademark red in the newer books, see below). The name is said to be inspired by 'Barbarella'.

Conrad van Helsing

A blind psychic and vampire hunter, he makes the substitute blood serum that keeps Vampirella's thirst for blood under control. He was after Dracula and initially tried to destroy Vampirella, believing her to be akin to the monster. He later realised his mistake.

Adam van Helsing

Son of Conrad van Helsing and the last of a long line of vampire hunters, he followed his father's steps and became a paranormal researcher. He is portrayed as more open-minded than his father. He believed that Vampirella was not your usual evil vampire and, quite soon, they shared a relationship. Vampirella has often helped Adam in his research. In the new series he finds redemption in Drakulon / Hell.

Pendragon / Mordecai(The Great)

A former 'true' sorcerer, now a sideshow magician. Vampirella often travels with him in the old series.

Madek and Magdalene

Evil brother and sister of Vampirella, they placed memories into Vampirella's mind - so all her memories are all false! This is revealed, needless to say, in the new series as an attempt to explain the storyline of the old series.

Lilith

Vampirella's mother, she creates Vampirella to provide redemption for herself, after she was cast out of heaven and spawned a race of vampires.

Nuberus

The demon who tempted Vampirella with her true origin in order to gain access to Earth.

Pantha

An alien shapeshifter from Vampirella's native planet, she shape-shifts into a black panther. She is generally portayed as more violent and out of control than Vampirella.
