  • Antony Brant came up with the band name "V" because V is the Roman numeral for five and there were five members in the band. V made their debut at the same time as McFly by supporting Busted's arena tour in the spring of 2004.

    Their first single, "Blood Sweat & Tears", was released in May 2004 went into the official UK singles chart at number 6. The video was shot in Miami in February 2004 and the single contained a collaboration with their friends McFly, called "Chills in the Evening" written by Tom Fletcher from McFly and James Bourne from Busted. The band's second single, released in the August 2004, was a double A-side consisting of a new song "Hip To Hip" and a cover of the Jackson Five's song "Can You Feel It" and charted at number 5 in the UK official singles chart.

    The third single, "You Stood Up" only made #12 in the charts, and their debut album of the same name came after, but failed to reach the Top 75 album charts. In February 2005, V announced their decision to split on their website.

    In August 2005, Mark Feehily of Westlife announced that he is gay and that he is currently in a relationship with V band member Kevin McDaid.
