USS Indianapolis
Two ships of the United States Navy have been named USS Indianapolis, after the city of Indianapolis, Indiana.

- The first Indianapolis (CA-35) was a heavy cruiser commissioned in 1932, active throughout World War II and sunk, after delivering atomic bomb components, in July 1945 (just two weeks before the end of the war), with the greatest loss of life of any ship in U.S. Navy history.
- The second Indianapolis (SSN-697) was a Los Angeles-class attack submarine in service from 1980 to 1998.
