Urban lifestyle

An urban lifestyle or an "urban way of life" is a way in which residents of a densely-populated region go about daily business. Many see this epitomized by people living in places such as New York City, London, and other large and long-established cities. This often involves a large mixing of cultures (a cosmopolitan society), high regard for personal fashion or style, and appreciation of the arts. In addition, there is typically a greater amount of walking and use of public transportation involved in living in an urban area, which contrasts with suburban (or exurban) regions where individual transport by automobile is very dominant, particularly in the United States.
