Uppland

Uppland ({{Audio|sv-Uppland.ogg|listen}}) is a historical province or landskap on the eastern coast of Sweden. It borders Södermanland, Västmanland and Gästrikland. It is also bounded by lake Mälaren and the Baltic sea.

The name literally means Upland, a name which is commonly encountered in English literature (especially older). Its Latinzed form, which may also occasionally be seen, is Uplandia.
