University of Strathclyde
The University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland is a top research-led British university which originated as Anderson's Institution in 1796. Its establishment was based on the vision of John Anderson, professor of Natural Philosophy at the University of Glasgow who left instructions in his will for a university which would focus on "Useful Learning" — specialising in practical and vocational subjects.
