University of South Dakota
The University of South Dakota is a public university in South Dakota, founded in 1862. It is located in Vermillion, South Dakota. USD is the flagship of South Dakota's public university system; it is home to the state's only medical school and law school, as well as schools of business, education, fine arts, and liberal arts. USD is governed by the South Dakota Board of Regents, and its current president is Jim Abbott.
