The University of Notre Dame Australia is a private Roman Catholic university established in 1990 in the Western Australian port city of Fremantle. While the University of Notre Dame Australia has as "strong collegial links" http://www.nd.edu/~intlstud/locations/australia/fremantle1.htm with the American University of Notre Dame located in South Bend, Indiana, they are separate institutions.
