Universal Records was founded in 1996, when Universal Music was created following the purchase of MCA Records by Seagram in 1996. The label is home of the Uptown Records, Flyte Tyme Records, Kedar Records, Celtic Heartbeat Records, BirthRight Productions, Mojo Records, Island Blue Records and subsidiarys.
