United Submitters International

The United Submitters International is a minor Islamic group, founded by Dr. Rashad Khalifa. Its founder was stabbed to death in 1990. It is regarded by most Muslims as heretical. The group calls itself the "Submitters" and follows the Quran Alone rule (rejecting hadiths).

The main group seems to attend the Tucson, Arizona, USA mosque founded by Khalifa. However, there seem to be some adherents in other areas, as evidenced by the group's website, which advertises an international convention.

The group may also be in the process of splitting, as suggested by this website, http://www.yuksel.org/e/religion/submitters.htm. Some Submitters are criticizing the rest of the group as devoting themselves to Rashad Khalifa rather than to God, thus committing the same sin of idolatry, or shirk, of which they accuse other Muslims.
