United States at the 2004 Summer Olympics
The United States was represented at the 2004 Summer Olympics by the United States Olympic Committee (abbreviated USOC). The delegation of 613 athletes was the largest the country has ever sent to the Summer Olympics.

Half of the U.S. medals came from two sports:

- Men's 200 m Backstroke: Aaron Peirsol in a time of 1:54.95, a new Olympic record. Peirsol was originally disqualified due to what one official thought was an illegal turn, but he reclaimed the gold with a successful appeal.
