United States Anti-Doping Agency


 

The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), which began operations on 1 October 2000, is a non-governmental agency responsible for implementation of the World Anti-Doping Code in the United States. The World Anti-Doping Code, which lists drugs and methods that are prohibited in sports, was developed by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) which was established by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in 1999. The IOC requires that all Olympic sports adopt the World Anti-Doping Code prior to 13 August 2004.
