Union Triad
The Union Triad was Kappa Alpha (1825), Sigma Phi (1827) and Delta Phi (1827). These were the first three social fraternities in the country. Because those three, and many other fraternities were founded at Union College in Schenectady, New York, Union is referred to as 'the mother of fraternities.'
