Underoath

Underoath is a Christian Post-Hardcore band from Tampa, Florida, currently signed to Solid State Records.

Formed in 1998, Underoath started out playing a death metal and metalcore style of music; evident in the 1999 release of their first album Act of Depression, former guitarist Corey Steger along with former vocalist Dallas Taylor, are both credited with giving Underoath its principle sound.

After the release of Underoath's second record, Cries Of The Past on July 4, 2000, Corey Steger decidedly left the band, with the remaining members continuing on to record The Changing Of Times in 2002, a year later Dallas Taylor left the band for personal reasons. He went on to form a Southern Rock/Metal band called Maylene and The Sons of Disaster
