Debuting in August of 2002, Uncle Jones and The Dynamite Express quickly became one of the most controversial television programs ever to air on Erie Cablevision's Community Access Television.

George Chilcott first expressed his interest in creating a public access television program and after seeing CAT-TV's "The Alley" with his brother Craig, they decided to learn more about getting a show on the air. Soon after, they were joined by Justin Berkheimer and Andy Tarbrake and began their training in the use of CAT-TV's studio equipment. In August of 2002 they were joined by Sean Dolan, Jeff Heberlein, Andy Mussett, and Paul Zielinski for the first tapings of what would become the disaster known as Episode 1. On the last day of taping, the show's name, "Uncle Jones and the Dynamite Express", was coined by Paul in a last-minute search before the taping of the opening credits, which were never used, began.

Since then, nine episodes have aired featuring a variety of skits, dance/music/LSD videos, news/weather sketches, interviews, words-of-the-month, food competitions, and a new opening credits sequence for virtually each episode.
