Uncle Joe's Mint Balls
Uncle Joe's Mint Balls are a type of mint. As the name implies, they are spherical in shape. Their mascot is a smiling man, presumably Uncle Joe. The packaging (usually a sealed can, unusual since most candies come in plastic bags nowadays) describes its contents as "Pure good." They are produced in Wigan, Lancashire.

On the Train heading out of Wigan toward Preston, you can see the factory of Wm Santus and Co, the makers of these and many other sweets and confectionery in the Wigan area. Often in a morning the air of the town centre is filled with the sweet perfumes from this factory.
