In 2004, to celebrate their Golden Jubilee, European footballing body UEFA held an Internet poll to determine who are the finest European players of the last 5 decades. This poll, commonly known as the UEFA Golden Jubilee Poll, attracted over 6 million votes from users of www.uefa.com.
