Tyson Ritter

Tyson Ritter (born April 24, 1984) is the lead singer and bassist of the All-American Rejects. He has a high, but unique singing voice and style, in the way that he will often switch from his stronger head voice into his gentle falsetto during ascending melodies(which makes the high notes in said melodies sound more graceful).

Trivia

According to Tyson, he was born at a Van Halen show and was wrapped up in a Van Halen t-shirt after he came out of the bathroom.

The songs on the first album are about his old girlfriend "Lindy" whom "he stayed with, and she cut him."

He weighed 200lbs in grade 9, and he said that he was always the "Funnyman-sidekick" in High School "The one who people liked but never got the girls". He called himself a "fat ska bassplayer". He got his current skinny frame during his year off after graduating a year early by "running for as long as I could, than going home and passing out."

Tyson and bandmate Nick appeared in a video for their friends' band Feable Weiner, titled "San Deem Us Ready." Tyson and Nick play two hotshots in a gym who tease the members of Feable Weiner, but are defeated in the end.

He has also appeared in many AAR made videos, including "AAR Gets Inked" (footage of the band's tatooing experience), "The Gunfight," "The Joy Ride," "The Night They Took It On," "Lost in Stillwater," and "The Rejects Family Christmas."

Tyson's first car was a Ford Tempo GL.

His lastest fashion staples are very tight black straight-leg pants, a fedora hat, tank tops, and bowling shoes. He also often wears a buckle with the AAR logo, an item fans could buy on the website a couple years back.

Tyson is known for his sense of humor and sometimes outlandish actions. He claims the following: he sold fake cigarrettes to kids as a child, his pants fell down while riding a simulated surf ride at a waterpark, he burned down the bands' apartment after creating his own fuse splitter, that he and the other members of AAR stole beer from CKY when they opened up for them, and he mooned "Gus the janitor" his last year of high school.
