Tyra Lynne Banks (born December 4, 1973) is an African-American supermodel and television personality, the first African-American to be considered one of the top models in the world.

She has a new daytime talk show that premiered in fall 2005 called The Tyra Banks Show. The show will feature stories about everyday people. Few celebrities will be on the show, much like Oprah Winfrey's early years, to which her show is already being compared. According to the first hints given on the website, the show's concept will revolve around human-interest stories, designed to "focus on the dreams, hopes and challenges of today's women."
