It was directed by Robert Day from a screenplay by John Warren and Len Heath. The film boasts a rich cast of characters played by, among others, Peter Sellers, Bernard Cribbins, David Lodge, Wilfrid Hyde-White, Lionel Jeffries and Irene Handl. It is considered by many Peter Sellers fans to be one of his best films.
