The Last Years
Ture Nerman had a seat in the parliament 1946 ? 1953. He retired from politics after that, 67-years-old. The rest of his life Ture Nerman lived quietly with his family. He had a house on an island in the Stockholm archipelago and he still kept the red Soviet flag with the hammer and the sickle outside his house. But after the Second World War, Nerman had a very positive view towards America and great hopes for the United Nations, and he even became an advocate of Swedish membership in NATO. He died in 1969.
