Trujillo Alto holds its festivities in September, and in 2001, it conmemorated its 200 year history. Each year Trujillo Alto celebrates "El maratón del Arrecostao", which is a very popular marathon in the city. Trujillo Alto has no important tourist attractions, but it is part of the urban area of Puerto Rico which consists of 6 other cities.
