Treia


 
 

Treia, an ancient town and comune of Italy, in the province of Macerata in the central Marche, 43°19N 13°19E, at 342 meters (1122 ft) above sea-level. It is 7 km (4 mi) N of Pollenza, 12 km (7 mi) W of Macerata, and 18 km (11 mi) NNE of Tolentino. The population of the comune was 9500 according to the 2003 census, with the town proper accounting for about half of that; the frazioni of Treia are Camporota, Chiesanuova di S. Vito, Passo di Treia, and S. Maria in Selva.
