Transjordan
The Emirate of Transjordan was an autonomous political subdivision of the British Mandate of Palestine, split off in April 1921. It was geographically equivalent to today's Kingdom of Jordan, and remained a legal part of Palestine, under the nominal auspices of the League of Nations, until its independence in 1946.
