Townhall.com is a website dedicated to mostly conservative United States politics. It was previously run by the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, but now runs on its own, seeking donations from visitors to the site. The self-described purpose of the website is to encourage debate and community, though specifically to aid in "the fight against those who would sacrifice the individual and freedom for political gain and big government." It is allied with several conservative member groups to increase awareness and traffic. It republishes syndicated columns of conservative celebrities such as Ann Coulter, Jonah Goldberg, and Cal Thomas, and libertarians such as Larry Elder, Neal Boortz, and Jacob Sullum. It also republishes the conservative-tinted news of the Cybercast News Service.
