Torrid is a chain store owned by Hot Topic. They strive to provide fashionable clothes for plus-size teenagers, wearing sizes from 12 to 26. A plethora of the clothing sold may be considered "hard to find," as they claim that much of their clothing is not mass-produced.

Torrid began its operations in mid-April 2001, opening one store in the Brea Mall (in Brea, California). Torrid at Vintage Faire is one of the top ten stores in the US. Torrid currently has over 70 stores in operation across America.
