Tony Roberts (actor)

Tony Roberts (born October 22, 1939 in New York) is an film actor who is best know for his work in the films of Woody Allen. In Annie Hall, he plays Alvy Singer's best friend, Rob (whom Alvy calls "Max"); other Allen films in which he has appeared include Play it Again, Sam and A Midsummer Night's Sex Comedy. He has also appeared on stage, notably opposite Julie Andrews in the Broadway musical version of the film Victor/Victoria, and on television, including The Carol Burnett Show and Law & Order.
