Tomas O'Fiach
Tomás Cardinal Ó Fiaich was an Irish Cardinal and the former Primate of All Ireland. He was born on November 3, 1923, in Camlough, South Armagh, a staunchly nationalist/republican area of Northern Ireland.

He was the Cardinal who took the side of the IRA hunger strikers as opposed to the British Basil Cardinal Hume and the Papal Nuncio, Bruno Heim, who both declared the strikes to be suicides. He was also the cleric who announced that Pope John Paul II would be visiting the Republic of Ireland, but advised the Pope not to visit Northern Ireland, due to The Troubles.
