Edward Thomas Hardy (born September 15, 1977), better known simply as Tom Hardy, is a British actor who is best known for his role of the Romulan Praetor Shinzon, a clone of Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) in ' (2002). He also played a United States Army private in the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers.

Hardy was awarded the 2003 London Evening Standard Theatre Award for Outstanding Newcomber for his performances in "Blood" and "Arabia, We'd All Be Kings" performed at the Royal Court Theatre and Hampstead Theatre.

Hardy was nominated for a 2004 Laurence Olivier Award for Most Promising Newcomer of 2003 in a Society of London Theatre Affliate for his performance in "Arabia, We'd All Be Kings" performed at the Hampstead Theater.
