Tom Araya

Tom Araya (born as Tom?s Araya June 6, 1961 in Valpara?so, Chile) is best known as the vocalist and bassist of the thrash metal band Slayer.

Araya has also provided guest vocals to recordings by other artists, including "Iron Gland" from Alice in Chains's album Dirt, and "Terrorist" from Soulfly's album Primitive.

Araya has 2 children, a boy and a girl. He is married and lives in Buffalo, Texas. Tom met his wife at a Slayer show some time ago.

Despite the anti-Christian and pseudo-Satanic nature of a good number of Slayer's songs, Araya is a devout Catholic, and used to enjoy going to church with his father when he was younger. (Interview).

Tom was very popular and happy in High School.
