Toll Holdings

Toll Holdings is Australia's largest transport company, with units or divisions in trucking, rail, sea and air transport. The company was formed in 1888 by Albert Toll in Newcastle, Australia. The company is also the parent company of New Zealand's largest transport company, Toll NZ.

In September 2005 the company attempted to purchase Patrick Corporation, owner of major stevedoring operations and Virgin Blue Airlines in Australia. Whether this will be allowed will be decided by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
