Tod Gordon
Tod Gordon was the first owner of Eastern Championship Wrestling (ECW). He was in charge of the company when it started in 1992. When Paul Heyman left World Championship Wrestling (WCW) over disputes resulting in a major hatred for WCW and Eric Bischoff, he went to Tod Gordon and Gordon sold ECW to Heyman. The independent organization would rapidly change into Extreme Championship Wrestling, a promotion known for its hardcore-style fighting and a cult-like following/fanbase. Gordon was kept on in ECW as a figure-head commissioner. Years after being the ECW "Commissioner", Gordon left ECW and was never seen or heard from again. Storyline-wise, he had quit due to wrestling conflicting with his family life. However, in real life, Gordon was fired by Heyman after it was found out that he had been working as a "locker room mole" for WCW, helping to lure talent to Bischoff's WCW promotion.
