TNA Triple Crown

In the professional wrestling promotion Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, the TNA Triple Crown is an accolade bestowed upon those who win (not necessarily concurrently) all three championships regularly contested in TNA - the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, the TNA X Division Championship and (one-half of) the NWA World Tag Team Championships.

While none of the championships which collectively compose the Triple Crown have a formal weight limit, in practise, most X Division Champions have been cruiserweights. It is therefore likely that any future Triple Crown winners will also be cruiserweights, as, though few heavyweights have competed for the X Division Championship, cruiserweights frequently challenge for, and win, the NWA World Heavyweight and Tag Team Championships.

As of September 2005, there has been only one Triple Crown winner, A.J. Styles (often referred to as the MVP of TNA). Styles is a 3-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion, 5-time TNA X Division Champion and 2-time NWA World Tag Team Champion, making him a two-time Triple Crown winner. Moreover, he requires only to win a third NWA World Tag Team Championship in order to gain a third Triple Crown.
