Titus (sitcom)
Titus was an American dark-comedy sitcom that debuted on the Fox network in 2000. The series was created by its star, Christopher Titus (based on his stand up comedy act, "Norman Rockwell is Bleeding") and was based loosely upon his real-life family. Titus plays an outwardly childish adult (based on himself), who owns a car shop. The show follows him and his dimwitted half-brother Dave, his girlfriend Erin, his goody-goody friend Tommy, and his arrogantly lewd, bigoted and multiply divorced father "Ken (Papa) Titus" (played by Stacy Keach).

One episode, "Tommy's Not Gay," dealt with the issue that character Tommy -- who behaves oddly and is assumed to be gay as a running joke -- lashes out at his homosexual father for "making him gay too" but later defends him. The episode made reference to the real-life killing of Matthew Shepard in Laramie, Wyoming.
