Timbalero


 
 

A timbalero is one who plays the percussion instrument timbales, a pair of tonal drums. Perhaps the most famous timbalero of recent history is Tito Puente. The timbalero is often the leader of a latin musical ensemble, as was Tito Puente, but also can be just another addition to the ensemble.
