Tim Floyd


 

Tim Floyd (b. February 25, 1954) is the current head coach of the University of Southern California men's college basketball team. Floyd is also a former head coach of several teams in both the NCAA and the NBA. Floyd is known as the coach of the Bulls after Phil Jackson, Michael Jordan, and Scottie Pippen retired.

Chicago Bulls coaching career

On July 23, 1998, Floyd was hired head coach of the Chicago Bulls of the NBA. In his first season with the Bulls, the lockout season of 1998-1999, the team posted a record of 13-37. The next season, the Bulls had a 17-65 record. The team did worse in the 2000-2001 season, going 15-67. After a 4-21 start the next season, Floyd was fired.

In his four seasons with the Bulls, Floyd posted a record of 49-190. The team did not make the NBA Playoffs in any of those years.
