Thurmaston
Thurmaston is a village in the north of Leicestershire in the United Kingdom. In 2000 its population was estimated at 9,305. Disparate and lacking any real sense of community, its single binding essence seems to be the monthly Thurmaston Times newsletter. Its major supermarket, the Co-op, was reduced to rubble in 2003 after being driven out of business by a flashy new Asda development across the road. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
