Thug (hip hop slang)

A thug is a person who lives a rebellous life and is usually prone to operating outside the law. The word "thug" is usually synonymous with the terms "outlaw" and "criminal." Anyone who lives outside the law can be classified as a thug. That includes mobsters, thieves, murderers, rapists, etc. The term can also be used to describe a person that has no focus in life (for example, a person that wanders and loiters aimlessly in public places and has no employment or educational ambition).
