  • The Purple Hallway: Named for the colour of the lockers lining said hallway. An area ostensibly reserved for an elite group of wealthy students, but, due to the filth created by said group in this hallway, is no longer desirable to those who are excluded.
  • The Un-Carpeted Hallway: Refers to a tiled hallway that connects the recreational wing of the school with the classrooms proper. A location that is monitored by school authorities in theory only, and was once known as the carpeted hallway for its previous furnishings.
  • The Thornlea Loft: A secret location somewhere in the school's main gym, strictly monitored by the schools drama department and the Thornlea Light Set Sound (TLSS) team.
  • The Music Hallway: Named for its proximity to the school's two music rooms, and is adjacent to one of the only sets of windows that were included in the building's original plans. A contemplative area for students who seek solitude.
  • The Pit: A depression in the ground immediately beyond the southern frontier of school property. Students brazenly defy school regulations against substance abuse here. The term has become a facetious synonym for illegality. Also the name for room 016, in which a sunken pit, resembling a miniature amphitheatre was placed.
  • The Rock: A metonym for an enclosure on the school's east side within which a multi-coloured boulder is contained.
