Thornlea Secondary School is a public high school that opened in 1969 and is located in Thornhill, Ontario, Canada, on Bayview Avenue and Willowbrook Road, just north of the Steeles Avenue border dividing the city of Toronto and the municipality of York Region. The Thornlea student body is well known within the community for its lack of school spirit and generally apathetic nature. Attempts to reform the school's internal image in recent years have generally yielded mixed results, and in some cases, have been met with concerted resistance and indeed cynical amusement.
