Thomas Phelps
Thomas Stowell Phelps (2 November 1822 – 1901) was an officer in the United States Navy.

Born in Buckfield, Maine, Phelps served the Navy from 1840 to 1884, attaining the rank of Captain in 1871 and Rear Admiral in 1884. He served in the Mediterrean, the Atlantic, and the Pacific, and commanded Juniata during the capture of Fort Fisher in January 1865.
