One of lead singer Michael's self-authored songs showcasing the horror and mystery themes that had begun to crept into his music. The song was a perfect example of his growth shortly after the release of his 1979 solo breakthrough, Off the Wall.

The song reached #22 on the Billboard pop singles chart when it was released and became the group's second biggest single off their Triumph album. The song, in turn, became a popular concert performance for the group's next two tours right into Michael's own "Bad" tour.
