Thirteen (film)

Thirteen is a 2003 film written by Catherine Hardwicke, who also directed the film, and Nikki Reed. Nikki Reed was 15 years old when she co-wrote the film with director Hardwicke. It is a semi-autobiographical film based on Nikki's experiences as a thirteen-year-old and those around her in the same age group. The script was written in six days and was originally supposed to be one of humor.{{mn|DVDCommentary|1}}
