Thieves' Highway

Thieves' Highway is a 1949 film directed by Jules Dassin. The film, based on a novel by A. I. Bezzerides, tells the story of a war-veteran-turned-truck driver who is attempting to avenge the death of his brother at the hands of an amoral produce shylock Mike Figlia. The film was shot on location in San Francisco, California. The film was released on DVD as part of the Criterion Collection in 2005.
