band is well known for its garage rock sound, explicitely sticking to this format on almost all of their albums. The band's signature sound (characterised by seemingly rushed and unprofessional production) as well as their prolific writing is often attributed to Childish's sever dyslexia. The band has been on multiple labels including Billy's own Hangman Records and Subpop.
