Scully takes a vacation to Maine, where she encounters a bizarre case where the victims appear to have inflicted wounds upon themselves ? apparently at the behest of a strange young girl. The phone conversation is similar to the War of The Cophorages (season 3)

• While considered a mediocre episode by most 'X-Philes', the episode has achieved fame for its delightful Mulder/Scully interaction. Mulder calls Scully just to chat at random intervals during the episode, and at the end, Scully discovers Mulder makes no progress without her. (As the pencils fall at the end, you can see David Duchovny struggling to retain laughter.)
