The Virgin Queen
The term Virgin Queen is often used to refer to Elizabeth I the Queen of England and the Queen of Ireland in the 16th Century. She was considered a virgin because she was never married, though it is unknown if she engaged in sexual intercourse. The term was also used to name the Virginia Colony.
