The Upside of Anger
The Upside of Anger is a 2005 drama / comedy / romance written and directed by Michael Binder. Set in the Detroit area, it stars Joan Allen, Kevin Costner and Evan Rachel Wood amongst others.
Plot
Terry Wolfmeyer (Allen) is left by her husband, and has to raise her four daughters by herself. She finds herself in a mess of alcohol and anger. Denny (Costner) is her neighbor, a washed-up baseball player who starts off as her drinking buddy but ends up as a romantic interest. Terry's daughters are left to deal with their mother's relationship and the changing family dynamics.
