~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The Tower was a book of poems by William Butler Yeats, published in 1928. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The title, which the book shares with the second poem, refers to the Thoor Ballylee castle which Yeats purchased and lived in for some time with his family. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The book includes several of Yeats' most famous poems, including Sailing to Byzantium, Leda and the Swan, and Among School Children. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Yeats' concerns with confronting his old age come to the fore with the volume. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
