The Sound of Jazz was a landmark television program that was part of CBS?s Seven Lively Arts series. The program aired December 81957 live fron CBS Studio 58. The show was hosted by John Crosby and produced by Irving Townsend, George Avakian and Michael Brooks. John Houseman was the executive producer.
